Twenty thousand people attended the first holiness camp meeting in Vineland, New Jersey, in the summer of 1867…
…according to "The Story of The Wesleyan Church" (Black & Drury). Soon holiness camps were springing up everywhere devoted to holiness evangelism. Seyfert Camp is the product of this great movement. It was birthed in the early 1900's as the Holiness Christian Church was formed and became a denomination. Campmeetings have been held annually at this location since that time. Seyfert camp was home to the Holiness Christian Church and the newly named Evangelical Christian Church until they merged with the Wesleyan Church. At that time Seyfert Camp became an independent campmeeting under the direction of an Executive Board. We have continued to conduct annual campmeetings, children's camps, and retreats for churches and groups who utilize our facilities. In recent years we have modernized and improved these facilities, including the tabernacle, kitchen/dining hall, snack shop, rest rooms, bath houses, and RV/trailer sites. We offer enthusiastic singing, challenging and uplifting teaching and Bible studies, programs for the entire family, recreation, great food and wonderful fellowship!
